Adventure Walks – Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Adventure Walks. By booking any service with us, including dog walking, adventure walks, and wedding chaperone events, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
🐾 1. Services Offered
We provide the following services:
• Dog walking and adventure walks
• Solo and group dog walks
• Wedding chaperone services (supervision and support for dogs during wedding events)
All services are delivered by a trained, insured, and experienced dog handler.
📅 2. Booking and Confirmation
• All bookings must be confirmed via phone, email, or our online booking system.
• A booking is only confirmed once written confirmation has been provided.
• For wedding services, full event details must be provided at least 14 days prior to the booking date.
💷 3. Payment Terms
• Payment may be required in advance or on the day of service unless otherwise agreed
• Regular bookings may be invoiced weekly
• Late payments may result in suspension or cancellation of services
• Accepted payment methods: Credit/Debit card, PayPal or bank transfer.
❌ 4. Cancellation Policy
Dog Walking / Adventure Walks
• 24+ hours’ notice: Full refund
• Less than 24 hours: Full charge applies
Wedding Chaperone Services
• 30+ days: Full refund
• 15–30 days: 50% fee
• Less than 15 days: Non-refundable
Rescheduling is subject to availability.
🐕 5. Dog Health, Welfare & Behaviour
All dogs must:
• Be in good health and fit for exercise
• Be up to date with vaccinations, flea, tick, and worming treatments
• Have no contagious illnesses
Owners must disclose:
• Behavioural issues (including aggression or reactivity)
• Medical conditions
• Recall ability and off-lead suitability
Adventure Walks reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if a dog is deemed unsafe or unwell.
🦮 6. Walking & Safety Policy
• Dogs will be walked solo or in carefully matched groups
• Group sizes are kept small and controlled
• Dogs will only be let off lead with owner consent and where safe
• Leads, harnesses, and muzzles (where required) must be provided by the owner
Adventure Walks prioritises safe environments and responsible handling at all times.
⚠️ 7. Listed Breeds & Legal Compliance
In accordance with the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 (as amended), certain breeds/types are restricted, including XL Bully types.
By booking services, owners confirm that any listed dog is:
• Legally registered (if applicable)
• Microchipped
• Neutered where required
• Covered by valid third-party liability insurance
• Muzzled and on lead in public where legally required
Adventure Walks reserves the right to refuse services if legal requirements are not met.
📄 8. Liability & Indemnity
• While all reasonable care is taken, Adventure Walks shall not be held liable for injury, illness, loss, or death of any dog unless caused by proven negligence.
• The owner accepts full responsibility for any damage, injury, or incident caused by their dog.
• The owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Adventure Walks against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from their dog’s behaviour.
🛑 9. Emergency Care
• In the event of an emergency, Adventure Walks will make every effort to contact the owner.
• If the owner cannot be reached, Adventure Walks is authorised to seek veterinary treatment.
• Any veterinary costs incurred are the responsibility of the owner.
🏡 10. Access to Property
• Owners must provide safe access to their property.
• Keys and access details will be handled securely.
• Adventure Walks will ensure the property is left secure after each visit.
📸 11. Photography & Media
• Photos/videos of dogs may be used for marketing and social media.
• If you do not wish your dog to appear, you must notify us in writing.
🌧️ 12. Weather & Safety
Walks may be shortened, adapted, or cancelled in extreme weather conditions to ensure safety.
🕒 13. Availability
Adventure Walks operates on a flexible schedule. Regular bookings are prioritised, but availability cannot always be guaranteed due to external work commitments.
🔐 14. Data Protection
All personal data is handled in accordance with UK data protection laws and will not be shared with third parties.
🔄 15. Changes to Terms
Adventure Walks reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes.
⚖️ 16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England. Any disputes will be handled within the English legal system.
